All too often we see products that products that promise a lot but fall short. Black Magic Wet Shine liquid car wax is a good product, but its only flaw is that it’s just not as good as it claims to be. So as long as you don’t fall for the extremely high expectations, you won’t be disappointed. For the price, you certainly are getting a decent product.
We’ll just cut to the chase and let you know that the biggest concern from users has been that it doesn’t dry fast enough and may sometimes be difficult to remove or buff. So to avoid that issue, the best thing you can do is try to apply it in cooler temperature, and most definitely in the shade, which is the standar procedure.
We believe the reason that some users have experienced difficulties with removing it is because they assumed that the UV protection formula meant it would be okay to apply in sunlight, which is a very bad practice.
It’s somewhat exaggerated advertising, so please be wary that it’s never okay to use any car wax product in sunlight, ever, even if it claims to have a special UV formula.
Aside from that aspect, Black Magic liquid car wax produces a brilliant shine and doesn’t leave as much swirl as other products, which is especially significant on darker clear coat vehicle finishes. As a note to any less experienced car care enthusiasts, you should always buff or remove wax in the same circular direction of motion as when you applied. Again, some users may have experienced difficulty or swirls because of their inexperience with waxing, and since the product is quite low-priced, it’s bound to attract a few less experienced users in addition to the more professional enthusiasts.
Overall, from our testing, it’s clear that Black Magic liquid car wax produces great shine and does protect a vehicles clear coat from potential UV damage. However, if you are really looking for protection, we would actually recommend some of our other popular car wax products. This product is pretty good for darker vehicle finishes, so in that regards it has advantages, just not as good as it says.
